Lanark County Skier Prepares for the Winter Olympics
Jan 08 10 - Friends and supporters gathered at Baker Bob's in Almonte last Wednesday evening to meet one of Lanark County's two Olympic Winter Games competitors, Olympic Team sprint skier, Perianne Jones. The meet and greet session was well attended and the opportunity was taken by several in the group to present Perianne with donations of support in her effort. Representatives of the Tay Valley Cross Country Ski Club contributed $500.00 on behalf of club members to help defray training expenses.
