Trace the miners’ footsteps from 1903 along the Silver Queen Mine Trail. The Silver Queen was a commercial source of mica in the early part of the 1900′s and the mine has been restored for viewing. Don a hard hat and enter the underground mine. Meet costumed interpreters and character actors. Then visit the miners’ bunkhouse to enjoy a miners’ lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($4.00 fee for lunch).

The Silver Queen Mine operated in the early 1900′s and was a commercial source of mica used for lantern glass, insulation and axle grease. Meet character actors from the past during our Spirit Walks along the mine trail at 7 and 9 p.m. Includes a visit in the underground mine and the miners’ bunkhouse. Pre-registration required.

Come Celebrate Canada Day at Conlon Farm in Perth! On Sunday, July 1st, 2012 Perth Town Council will host its annual community BBQ with FREE Canada Day Flag Cake. The Kiwanis Club hosts their Classic Kids’ Games on the Soccer Fields beginning at 5pm. Music starts at the mainstage at 6:30pm, and come early to get a great seat on the hill for the fantastic fireworks display (10pm sharp), thanks to the efforts of the Perth Volunteer Fire Fighters Association. Admission is by doantion at the gates, and everyone is welcome to attend. Fun for the whole family at Conlon Farm.
